Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Mobil 1 Gran Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park

July, 14, 2014

What a race! If you missed the action from today's Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, be sure you tune into Fox Sports 1 on July 20th at 10:00 am.

As for our recap, Lucas Bize started the Racers Edge Ford Mustang Boss 302R in 11th place. He quickly jumped to 10th at the start where he would remain up to the first caution. Pit stops during that caution allowed Lucas to move up to 6th before he would also come in for a stop and driver change.

David took over the car in 9th at the restart. He had to battle it out with competitors during heavy traffic which put him in 10th at the halfway point. Another caution came out just after the Racers Edge crew made their final pit stop. The green flag resumed with only 37 minutes remaining and David in 8th. With 32 minutes to go, David had a brief moment with a competitor but made an incredible save to keep his 8th place spot. The final caution came out with only 28 minutes to go. David kept his head clear on the restart to keep the consistency going and bring home the 8th place finish.

David Levine had this to say about todays race:
"Epic. It was a great race and it was a lot of fun to be out there racing hard with the top guys in the series. I also have to thank Keeper Security, Gary Yeomans Ford and of course Ford Racing for making an excellent race car. Bring on Indy!"

The next event on our calendar is the Brickyard Sports Car Challenge July 24-25th in Indianapolis, IN.
