David A. Levine is a professional race car driver and a road course specialist. He focuses his racing on sports cars, stock cars, and open wheel formula cars. In 2012, David raced in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series in the ST class, with one win and two third place finishes. His sports car experience includes Ford Mustang’s, BMW 328i’s, and Mazda MX-5’s. His stock car experience includes road courses, short-tracks, and 1.5 mile ovals, and he brought home a Top-12 in the ARCA series ActivArmr 150 race at Chicagoland Speedway last summer. His Mazda MX-5 experience includes courses ranging from Miami-Homestead to Road Atlanta. His open wheel experience includes races at Laguna Seca and Road America.
David currently races the Ford Mustang Boss 302 for Racers Edge Motorsports in the GS class of Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series. David also will be racing the Richard Petty Driving Experience #45 in several ARCA series races in 2013 and he is employed by The Richard Petty Driving Experience as a part-time driver/instructor.
David has a proven track record of success. In addition to his three podiums in the 2012 CTSCC series, David had 5 podiums, including 3 wins, in other races during 2012. Over the years, he has won the pole at Road Atlanta, Road America, Sebring, Palm Beach International Raceway, and Homestead-Miami Speedway, and he has won multiple races at Sebring, Road America, and Palm Beach International.
David also is an ambassador for the American Heart Association and he has his own Drive For Heart campaign (www.driveforheart.org). He often visits Children’s Hospitals during race weekends both to share his story and to try to put a smile on the faces of the kids he visits. His visits typically generate media interest within the community.
David currently is a sophomore at Furman University in Greenville, S.C. He is a 2011 graduate of Lake Forest Academy and a 2007 graduate of Lake Forest Country Day School. David is fluent in Spanish and he lived in Barcelona, Spain while participating in a language immersion program.
